The iconic airy construction of Maria Theresa Chandelier was brought to life at 1743 for nothing less but the Empress’ coronation. She desired something special that was never seen before, therefore glassmakers from the Crystal Valley created a masterpiece that became a must have in every royal palace across Europe. They got rid of the massive center bar and came up with light Lyre shaped construction coated by crystals.
Over 290 years ago the first crystal chandeliers were constructed in the north of Bohemia. Local glassmakers discovered a way to substitute metal brunches with crystal ones and embellish the core with crystal, that gives the final product more spark and glam. Their passion and precision gave life to a timeless classic – a piece of levitating art admired for centuries on.
The first crystal chandeliers were made in Italy by simply hanging raw crystal stones upon brass construction. The craftsmanship has evolved since and we keep producing delicate variations made out of italian brass decorated with hand cut crystals. From simple designs to rich complex pieces, brass chandeliers radiate magnificence and a spark of nostalgia.
