The State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera” founded in 2013 is the largest theatre in Central Asia and the third in the world. With the Main Hall designed for 1250 seats.
Inspired by the Italian theatres
The concept behind this stunning building was to create a classical look inspired by the Italian theaters of the 19th century. Such a magnificent project could not go far without crystal chandeliers enlightening the interior. Therefore the designers opted for highest quality Bohemian craftsmanship. LUCIDE studio got the honor to elevate the space with pieces from our atelier.
More then 200 chandeliers
To be exact, more than 200 chandeliers, wall lamps and light installations were custom made to enhance this extraordinaire space. Each piece was designed in collaboration with the project designers to fit the space perfectly. Thousands hours were dedicated to hand craft the whole collection with attention to the smallest details.

The range of handcraft and precision of the work is vast. We wanted to bring the best from our tradition and knowledge to create something spectacular and remarkable. From crystal and brass chandeliers to Maria Theresa lights, it all comes together in great harmony.
1,6 tons embellished by thousands of crystals
When entering the main hall, your breath is taken away by an enormous central piece. A crown jewel of the whole building weighting 1,6 tons with six meters in diameter and eight meters in height. The four level basket is embellished by thousands of crystal stones.
